At the Language Laboratory of FUMH Miguel Hernádenz in Elche, we offer students who require it the possibility of obtaining a document accrediting access to the “Master´s Degree in Teacher Training of ESO, Bachillerato, FP and EI” whose language requirement is B1 level, in English or B2 , in Spanish according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
This document is obtained through taking a placement test that consists of two parts
English
1st part: Online Test
The four skills are assessed in this test contemplated by the CEFR
- Use of English:It assesses the candidate´s knowledge of grammar and vocabulary through multiple choice questions
- Reading: It assesses the strategies of text comprehension through multiple choice questions.
- Writing: It assesses the knowledge in the use of language through the writing of the grammatical structures, vocabulary and words, among others.
- Listening: It assesses the candidates´ skills when it comes to understanding oral discourses (monologues, dialogues, etc) on which multiple questions will be formulated.
2nd Part: Oral Test
The second part of the test consists of a face to face oral test. In this section a Tribunal evaluates the student's capacity in order to express an oral speech without previous preparation. This Tribunal will ask a series of questions to the candidate and will determine their level according to the answers.

Both parts of the level Test will be carried out consecutively:
1st part: Online Test
This test will be carried out in the ICT classrooms 1 and 2 of Altet Building, at Elche campus of UMH (see location on http://universite.umh.es/localizaciones/)
The candidate can choose for this part one of the four shifts established:
ENGLISH: First shift: 9.00 h
ENGLISH:Second shift: 10. 30 h (full)
ENGLISH: Third shift: 12.00h
ENGLISH: Fourth shift:16.00h
SPANISH FOR FOREIGNERS: single shift: 10.30h
Duration: 60 mins approx
When the candidate ends this online test, he will be notified whether he has passed and can access to the second part of the test
Note:If any candidate for major reasons, cannot take the exam in the schedules established, please notify as far in advance as possible the Language Laboratory in order to study your case.

2nd part oral Test
Then, the candidates who have passed the first part will gain access to the Quorum 1 Building (see location on http://universite.umh.es/localizaciones/) in order to take the oral test.
This test will be carried out in pairs or in groups of 3 people and on a first come first served basis. There can be no assurance neither at the begin time nor at the end time of this part, as it depends on the number of registrants.
Duration: 10 minutes approx.
Prices
A single payment of 30 euros is established for this Level Test. He or she is entitled to the implementation of a SINGLE call and its corresponding accreditation document for those candidates who pass the Level Test.
Accreditation document
The Language Laboratory of the University Miguel Hernandez of Eche will issue an accreditation document only to those candidates that have obtained the qualification of PASS in the level test.
This document accredits a level that corresponds to a B1 in English or a B2 in Spanish according to the MECR and is valid only as a language entrance requirement in order to access the UMH“ University Master´s Degree of Teacher Training in Secondary Education, Bachiller, Vocational Training and Infant Education”.
On the 5th July 2017, the results of the Level Test will be published on the same web.
Turns
Venues:1, 2 ICT classrooms of Altet Building, at the campus of Elche of UMH (see location on http://universite.umh.es/localizaciones/). Punctuality is requested to all candidates.
When they end their level test, the candidate will be informed if he or she has passed in order to access to the second part of the test (which will be carried out at the Language Laboratory, Quorum I Building).
